Battle Medieval Fayre

The historic town of Battle with all its incredible independent shops, cafes and pubs will play host to the marvellous Medieval Fayre, which will once again erupt onto the Abbey Green in all its splendour, on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th May.
Come and witness our fire juggling jester perform acts of bravery that only the most knightly of knights could bare to witness, who incidentally will be battling it out in both 11th and 15th century tournaments – be sure to come and meet them all.
Battle’s resident medieval surgeon will be on hand with demonstrations that’ll make your blood curdle, any budding knights or warriors will be able to try on suits of armour and maybe even weald a sword.
Those with a slightly nervous disposition can enjoy Battle’s Merrie Maypolers and watch the crowning of the May Queen to the unique sound of Section 5 Drummers, who’ll be parading along the High Street to the Abbey Green, where the May Queen will be crowned on Monday.
